David Winder, Former Exec Director of UT Dept. of Community & Economic Development - Jan 18th, Noon, Wells Bldg.

Mr. Winder will be discussing the state of the Economy. He is a corporate director and currently serves on multiple boards including Utah Retirement Systems as chairman, Energy Solutions, Alsco, Inc., NACD board chair of Utah chapter and others. He has also served in board and chair positions for the Economic Development Corporation of Utah, Salt Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau, Utah Housing Corp. and more.

As Chief Economic Developer for the state, Mr. Winder served in Governor Leavitt’s Cabinet. He has also served as a special assistant to Utah Governors Leavitt and Walker. He worked as the Managing Partner for KPMG’s Salt Lake office and chaired several firm-wide committees and CPA associations. Mr. Winder also holds a degree from Stanford University with highest honors.
